A Year’s Review—Top Posts: Pastor Wife Confessions and Marriage

IMG_7114 (1)_Fotor_Collage“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4, ESV)

Hope is never far away. Christ, the Word of God, brings hope near.

Thanks to the Hope Is Among Us  community of readers for making 2015 a wonderful year of blogging for Girl Friday. I’m looking forward to 2016 with each of you as we grow together in a love for God’s Word and express scriptural truths as life happens. Real. Authentic. Soulful.

My site host, Word Press, sent an annual blog report. Here are the highlights from 2015:

Crunchy numbers

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,400 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

There were 243 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 363 MB. That’s about 5 pictures per week.

The busiest day of the year was June 4th with 241 views. The most popular post that day was 6 Confessions and Lessons Learned From a Pastor’s Wife.

My most meaningful post in 2015?

Gee! I wouldn’t begin to know how to choose. Several featured guest writers provided beautiful articles. Each of the top 5 posts listed above were monumental markers on my journey. I walked through varied life experiences last year, personally, and with family and friends. Both exhilarating in joy and painful in trials and tragedies. Words coming from a wellspring in my soul. The Lord spoke to my spirit in deep and truthful ways as He walked beside me.

But the post on September 10, 2015 stands out to me. It’s part of the reason I started this blog community two years ago. You see, I believe in the power of story. So, I wrote a simple script that my husband helped me film on video: Am I Lovable? A Story Line Video by Karen ‘Girl’ Friday.

The Facebook version of the video has been viewed nearly 5,000 times. You can view the Youtube video here:
