10 Things I Want You to Know About Jesus

10 Things I Want You to Know About Jesus

I love to talk about Jesus and share important things to know about Jesus.

Because He changes lives.

Jesus transforms people from the inside out.

And Jesus embodies God.

Whether I’m talking to fellow believers or those who don’t know much about Jesus, these 10 things are what I want everyone to know.

(1.) Know About Jesus: He is Love

True Love defined means, Jesus.

Our lack of love from people never makes the Love of Christ less true.

Instead, we are loved the way He says we are loved.

Love lays down His life for me (John 15:13); perfect Love drives out my fear (1 John 4:18-19), and He redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with Love (Psalm 103:4).

I love to talk about Jesus and share important things to know about Jesus. Because He changes lives. Jesus transforms people from the inside out. And Jesus embodies God. Share on X

(2.) Jesus is merciful

God sent Mercy from the throne room of heaven to take our place. Beaten, bruised, and pierced with nails, Mercy’s blood spilled on a cross. And Mercy bestowed forgiveness on us to cover our sins.

“He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.” Titus 3:5 (ESV)

(3.) Know About Jesus: How He is the Prince of Peace

Peace means the absence of war and conflict and a state of rest. Perhaps we hear Christ referred to as the Prince of Peace.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 NIV

The Bible Knowledge Commentary notes this is the first of Isaiah’s 25 references to peace. The Messiah would bring and maintain peace and “will have an eternal rule of peace” that never ends. This biblical Peace is the Messiah Himself. He rules and reigns in our hearts as Peace.

(4.) Jesus is Our Hope

The world offers many forms of hope. Yet, they fizzle and fade away. But, God made big plans to bring Hope to a hopeless people. Hope’s birth took place in a lowly stable. Hope grew and carried out the heavenly Father’s will—even death on a cross.

Hallelujah! Hopeless never gets the last word. Hope rose from the dead when Jesus Christ conquered the grave.

(5.) Know About Jesus : That He Embodies Grace

10 Things I Want You to Know About Jesus

I read this verse: “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17 NIV

Then, the Lord whispered to my heart: Karen, Grace is the greatest gift, a good and perfect gift (James 1:17) that came down from Me to you as my Son.

God extended amazing Grace to us at such a high price, His only Son. Grace saves us and gives us eternal life.

(6.) Jesus is Truth

When we search for Truth, we find it in Christ.

And the gospel of John sheds some light. The Word was in the beginning (John 1:1); the Word became flesh, full of Truth (John 1:I4); Truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17), and Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6).

(7.) Know About Jesus: How He Sets Us Free

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” Isaiah 61:1 NIV

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 ESV

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV

(8.) Jesus Portrays Kindness

God’s Kindness is eternal and abundant Life. And God’s Kindness is Jesus, the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us. Ephesians 2:6b (ESV)

So when others see a kind smile or a random act of kindness. Or, they notice generosity and compassion in us, they see Kindness—Jesus in us!

(9.) Know About Jesus: His Great Joy

Consider Jesus’ story. The wise men, “When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” Matthew 2:10 ESV (emphasis added)

Angels proclaimed to the shepherds, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:10b ESV (emphasis added)

Women who visited the empty tomb. “So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.” Matthew 28:1, 8 ESV (emphasis added)

Great. Joy. Is. Jesus.

(10.) Jesus Equals Victory

Christ defeated death and the grave. He put the enemy under His feet. And He conquered sin. Christ fights our present battles as Victor in our spiritual warfare. Victory is His name.

These 10 things make me want to shout a thousand Hallelujahs! Why? Who doesn’t need love, mercy, peace, hope, grace, truth, freedom, kindness, joy, and victory in their life?
