I thought my adventure series with my husband was only for 2 weeks.
But I decided to share this special post and videos with you to extend it.

Dreams Supported
Coinciding with my posts, my husband started a sermon series at Believers Church, “Helping Your Relationships Make Sense & Work Better.” The first Sunday, Mike uncovered the truth about women, speaking to the husbands. One of the best ways a husband loves his wife well is by supporting her dreams. Here’s a YouTube video he put together and showed. It’s of our trip for me to speak at a women’s retreat.

Mike’s second message for ladies and wives helped us understand a man’s heart. He featured this video of our camping trip. The one I wrote about last week to David Crockett State Park.

Love this! Just in this past year, my husband quit his job to start his own business and I started taking my writing more seriously. It’s been a lot of give-and-take and figuring out and we’re still definitely in the middle of learning. But it’s also been so incredible to see how God has been part of the process as we pursue better paths for ourselves and our family.
That’s awesome, Annie. Sounds like your stepping out on faith and learning how to move forward with your dreams and pursuits. I’m so thankful life’s journey is a much better adventure when we invite God along. And when we keep dreaming the dreams He has for us.
This is an inspiring series of posts, as I recently had a conversation with my husband about how we needed to dream more and have more spontaneity and adventure in our lives. I find the more that we surrender to Christ the more adventures we end up experiencing. 🙂 And that is exciting. Thanks for sharing part of your journey!

I’ve really enjoyed this series, Karen! It’s so applicable right now, as my husband and I prepare for the next stage of life. I love to read your articles. They always seem to lift my spirits. The only way I can support my husband right now is to be here for him, but it’s hard when I see him make decisions, regarding his health, (end stage kidney disease), that I don’t agree with but I usually end up telling him it’s his life not mine. He has to be happy in his decisions, therefore, if he’s happy I try to be happy for him. He’s a Christian so I know I’ll see him again if God decides to take him sooner than we expect. Sorry to get off the subject. Keep up the good work.
