Ah, love is in the air. Yes, it’s love month. And a time we celebrate memorable love. But, most of us wish to boost the love in our lives.

Because God never intended love to fall flat or feel thin.

Maybe we desire to boost our love for a spouse.

Perhaps, love seems rushed or less-than in some of our closest relationships.

Or, all of us, married and single, need a boost in the truth about love.

So, consider how we boost love for soul-mates, family, friends, and the One who calls us Beloved.

Love boosted. Love supercharged. And love supersized.

Therefore, I complied this list of memorable and amazing love-quotes. Words reminding our heart: how real love looks, what true love does, and why authentic love matters.

And words in an effort to boost our affections where we need it the most.

God never intended love to fall flat or feel thin. But for…Love boosted. Love supercharged. Love supersized. Click To Tweet

This is wonderful! I’ll definitely be going back through and making note of these quotes! Enjoyed being your neighbor on #DestinationInspiration today. 🙂

Karen says:

Thank you, Emily. “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” ― 1 John 4:16

Linda Stoll says:

Oh yes, Karen! Let’s focus on what matters most …

Karen says:

Linda, Authentic love matters most. Thankful the Lord gave us a clear picture of love in the Scriptures and in Jesus.

Yes, this is how love really looks! Thank you for this much needed refresher of love versus the world’s version of lust-love. So grateful for God’s love and for Godly Christians who help me experience that in day to day living! Blessings and love to you and yours, Karen!

Karen says:

Appreciate your kind words, Melissa. Yes, the world’s view on love looks drastically different. “For God so loved Melissa, that he gave his only Son, that because she believes in him, she should not perish but have eternal life.” ― John 3:16

Karen, the quotes you shared here are so inspirational, and a great reminder that we are created to love one another. Isn’t it wonderful that we can love because God loved us first? Just amazing!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Karen says:

Yes, it is, Martha. And it’s a command, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” ― John 15:12

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Laurie says:

Thank you for sharing these beautiful quotes, Karen. Perfect for Valentine’s Day! I especially love #11, and of course, the verse from Corinthians is one of my favorites.

Karen says:

Laurie, I really like that quote as well. “The measure of love is to love without measure.” ― Augustine

And the only way to have love without measure is to keep drawing from God’s love. Thanks for visiting and commenting.

Love one another. I believe God smiles when we show His love to others. 🙂

Karen says:

So do I, Melissa. I think loving others in an authentic way is the best way to resemble Jesus. “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” ― 1 Corinthians 13:13

Karen, “love” the quotes and the Scriptures. Love is always in season 🙂
Happy Valentine’s Day, friend!

Karen says:

Thank you, Beckie. So glad “Love is always in season.” Yes! “God’s love for us grants us the capacity to love others.” ― Kelly Minter

Yvonne Chase says:

LOVE this quote: The measure of love is to love without measure.” ― Augustine

Thanks for the LOVEly reminders. 🤗

Karen says:

I know, right, Yvonne?! So, so good. Reminds me how we could never measure God’s love to us…it’s immeasurable. May we model that kind of love in our relationships asking the Lord to help us!

Love this: “The measure of love is to love without measure.” ― Augustine

Great idea for Valentine’s Day encouragement! God bless!

Karen says:

That quote is a favorite, Nancy.

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ― Romans 8:38-39

Great wisdom in your words and examples. The world desperately needs true, authentic love and they search in all the wrong places.

Karen says:

Yvonne, your comment reminded me of that song…”looking for love in all the wrong places.” Until we look up to God, real love will never be found. Oh, the everlasting and never-ending love of God!

Thank you for all of these substantial, uplifting, and challenging quotes about love, agape, in all its finest, grandest, and most God-like forms. A great post for this week, Karen. I love your lists.

Karen says:

Hey Melinda, I like how you said, “the most God-like forms.” Since God is love and it originated from Him…He’s the author of love, makes sense the grandest form does come from Him. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” ― 1 John 4:11

Joan Davis says:

I love these quotes on love! Each is so true… as are the verses you included. I have always really loved Zephaniah 3:17! Picturing God rejoicing over me encourages my heart and reminds me of how happy God is that I am His!

Blessings, Joan

Karen says:

Hey Joan, I’ve always loved Zephaniah 3:17 as well. It is a beautiful imagery of God singing over us and calming us with His pure and true and authentic love. Love Cupid knows nothing about. 🙂 Thanks for commenting.

Del Duduit says:

This is such a wonderful pick-me-up post that puts a focus on what is important.

Del

Karen says:

Thank you, Del. True love and God’s love has a way of doing that!

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ― Romans 8:38-39

Mother Teresa’s quote resonates with me: “Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.” All it takes is a reach…any time. And I am always challenged by 1 John. In fact, we will be launching into that letter in about a month in our small group. I think that study will encourage us to live with authentic love while we face the world together. Thank you for this post, Karen. It is heart warming.

Karen says:

“All it takes is a reach…any time.” I like that, Stephen. Love is within reach because of God’s love and Jesus’ work on the cross.

SHERRY STAHL says:

Karen,
I love when I’m your linkup buddy! Your posts are always so encouraging!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day 🙂
