Heaven’s Healthcare Plan: Fully Covered by Grace

Many of us know firsthand how quickly medical costs can add up. And when we are in this position, we hope and pray our healthcare coverage is adequate.
Because we consider the deductibles, co-pays, out-of-pocket maximums, and any out-of-network costs.
With Mike’s heart attack five months ago, open heart surgery four months ago, transports to two different hospitals, critical care for five weeks, claims the end of last year alone were over 3 million.
Talk about sticker shock. But gratefully, our total costs were not astronomical, not even close. Our out-of-pocket costs were minimal comparatively.
Of course, we’ve entered a new year and started over with medical equipment, home health, physical therapy, cardio rehab classes, and clinic appointments and tests in Nashville, TN.
So we know the staggering numbers for healthcare. Maybe you do as well.
But in the middle of thinking about physical health and financial responsibility, I began to consider something even more important: our spiritual health.
Spiritual Healthcare
God created each of us with three vital parts—body, soul, and spirit. While we often focus on caring for our bodies, how often do we think about the care of our soul? Or the condition of our spirit?
The truth is, as believers, we already possess the most complete and perfect coverage imaginable.
The moment we come to Christ, we enroll in heaven’s spiritual care plan.
And the benefits? They are beyond anything this world could offer.
This is a plan you can trust completely. There are no hidden clauses, no exclusions, and no fine print. Nothing is denied or partially covered.
Instead, it reads, paid in full.
Through Jesus—our Savior and High Priest—His ultimate sacrifice on the cross covers our cost. The balance on your account? Zero. Your responsibility? None.
You will never receive a bill.

Consider just a few of the benefits included in this divine plan:

- Eternal life, purchased by the precious blood of the Lamb (John 3:16)
- Abundant life, here and now (John 10:10)
- Complete forgiveness—past, present, and future (1 John 1:9; Isaiah 43:25) “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 (NIV)
- Redemption and freedom from spiritual debt, God nailed it to the cross (Colossians 2:13–15)
- Unfailing love, grace, goodness, mercy, and kindness (Ephesians 2:4–5) “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” Psalm 23:6 (ESV)
- Hope in a world that often feels hopeless (Jeremiah 29:11; Romans 15:13; Colossians 1:27)
- Protection and refuge under His faithful care (Psalm 91:4)
- Adoption into God’s family and a promised inheritance (Romans 8:14–17; Colossians 1:12)
- A prepared place in heaven (John 14:2) “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” Revelation 21:21 (ESV)
- The promise of a future with no pain, tears, or death (Revelation 21:4)
And those are just the beginning.
No Costs to You
Additional benefits include peace, comfort, freedom, prayer, acceptance, relationship, victory, and power—blessings too numerous to count and too vast to measure.
There are no deductibles.
No co-pays.
No out-of-network charges.
And no out-of-pocket costs.
Also, for those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, there is no need for a life insurance policy—because eternal life is already secured.

The bill is paid.
The coverage is complete.
And the invitation is open.

Now that’s the kind of coverage I want, Karen! I absolutely loved your analogy here. Praying the Mike gets better and stronger with each passing day. Love to you both!
Mike is doing well and getting stronger, Martha. Always appreciate your encouragement and prayers.Thankful to be fully covered by grace! God bless.
My husband underwent open heart surgery in early February. I, too, thought about so much during this time. Because I worked in the insurance industry for several years, so much came back to my mind while he was recovering. Yes, I immediately kept zooming in on the final bill. It did come in March. Our total responsibility owed to the hospital system was just at 5 thousand dollars. His employer based coverage was much better than what we had anticipated. Neither of us visit doctors often unless we get very sick. That hasn’t happened often over the last several years. Yet, as we all know, medical emergencies do come. God is there, and HE always will be. Continuing to pray for you both as your journey continues. Your words and vlogs are always uplifting. God Bless Lisa
In a country where understanding your health insurance can feel like deciphering a foreign language, there’s something almost jarring about the simplicity of grace.
We live in the age of deductibles so high they require a second mortgage of patience. Copays that sneak up like uninvited guests. “Out-of-pocket maximums” that sound reassuring—until you realize just how much “maximum” actually is. Healthcare in America has become less about healing and more about calculating. Before the doctor even says “How are you feeling?”, many of us are already asking, “How much is this going to cost me?”
And yet, in the middle of all this fine print and financial fatigue, there’s a quiet truth that doesn’t come with a billing statement.
God’s plan is free.
No premiums. No networks to stay within. No approvals required. No claim forms to file. No surprise bills arriving weeks later when you thought everything had already been settled.
Just grace.
It almost feels too simple, doesn’t it? We’re conditioned to believe that anything valuable must come with a price tag. That healing—real healing—should cost us something measurable. Time. Money. Effort. And while life certainly asks things of us, God’s love doesn’t operate on a reimbursement system.
You don’t earn it.
You don’t qualify for it.
You don’t get denied from it.
It’s given.
That doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes painless or predictable. Even the most faithful among us still sit in waiting rooms, still face diagnoses, still wrestle with uncertainty. But there’s a different kind of coverage at work—one that doesn’t prevent every storm, but promises you won’t face it alone.
Think of it as the only plan where the Great Physician already paid the full balance.
No itemized list.
No hidden fees.
No expiration date.
In a world where we’re constantly weighing costs against benefits, that kind of assurance feels almost radical. It invites us to rest in something deeper than physical wellness—a peace that steadies us even when our circumstances don’t.
Because while insurance may help cover the body, God’s grace tends to the soul.
And that kind of care?
It never runs out.
“The Lord is my healer, my refuge, and my peace—no paperwork required.”
Lisa, I hope and pray your husband is recovering well. And glad your costs were minimal, too. Thanks for sharing your story and experience in the health insurance world. I like how you elaborated on this analogy. Love all of it, especially, “And yet, in the middle of all this fine print and financial fatigue, there’s a quiet truth that doesn’t come with a billing statement. God’s plan is free.” Amen and God bless.
Thank you for always inspiring and encouraging me and many other folks. God bless you. 🙂
Blessings to you, Melissa. So thankful we are covered by grace and heaven’s care plan.
Amen! God’s Care plan is the best! So thankful to our loving God who provides all we need for eternity.
I understand about navigating the health insurance claims as I went through all of that during my late husband’s chronic illness over several years. Lean on God to guide and provide and lay it all at His feet. He is faithful!
It is the best plan, Susan! Nothing this world offers can match or beat it. So sorry about your husband, sounds like you know all about navigating claims and bills. Thankfully, when we come to Christ, we are immediately enrolled in God’s care plan. We can stand in that truth with peace and freedom. God bless. Always enjoy your comments.
Praise God Mike is recovering. Praise God for your inspirational words. Prayers for your family. I look forward to your posts. They help to lift me up. Rebecca
Thanks for celebrating Mike’s miracle and recovery, Rebecca. And as always, we are grateful for prayers. Thanks for reading these posts and your encouragement. God bless.
What a great and inspiring message to the power of God in our lives. Blessings Karen

So good, Karen, and what a great analogy. You are right… we are FULLY COVERED when we choose the “Jesus Plan.”
Thank you, Jessica, I like your title, “Jesus Plan.” Perfect and Hallelujah! God bless.
