I See God in These 10 Powerful Ways

I enjoy playing I Spy with my grandkids. Whether we are at a restaurant, waiting to go in somewhere, or outside, guessing what someone sees by color is a fun game. And I see God in so many ways in life and the world around me. But when it comes to seeing God, there’s no guessing game. It’s Him.
(1.) I See God in the Beauty of Creation
Look, Mommy, at the boot-i-full sky! My mother always told of how much I loved sunsets and the sky as a child. And I still do today.
Every sunrise, blooming flower, flowing river, and star-filled sky reminds me that God is the Creator of all things. The beauty of the world points me toward His power, creativity, and majesty. Even when life feels overwhelming, creation reminds me that I serve a God who makes beautiful things.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1 (NIV)
When I take time to appreciate the beauty around me, I am reminded that God’s fingerprints are everywhere.
(2.) His Unconditional Love
I see God in the love that comforts, forgives, restores, and never gives up. His love is not based on my perfection, achievements, or ability to get everything right. God loves me even when I feel unworthy, and His love reminds me that I am never beyond the reach of His grace.
God’s love is one of the most beautiful truths I hold onto, especially on the days when I struggle to love myself.
(3.) I See God in the Storms of Life
Sometimes I see God most clearly when I’m smack dab in the middle of hard things. The storms of life teach me to trust Him when I cannot see the outcome and that I am not alone. Although God does not promise a life without trouble, He promises His presence and strength in the midst of it.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” — Isaiah 41:10a (NIV)
I not only see God in the beauty of a sunset, but also when I'm in the middle of one of life's storms. His fingerprints are everywhere. Share on X(4.) In Prayer

Praying helps me see God in His glory and sovereignty. Even though prayers are not always answered how I hoped, I’m thankful for God’s “No’s.” Because when God closes a door, I see how it was for my good.
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” — Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
(5.) I See God in the Kindness of Others
I see God when someone offers a helping hand, speaks an encouraging word, listens, or shows compassion. Small acts of kindness can become powerful reminders that we are seen and cared for.
(6.) In New Beginnings
Every new morning reminds me that God’s still writing my story. No matter what yesterday held, God offers hope for today. Even after failure, disappointment, or heartbreak, I can trust God with my future.
Because God’s mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

I’ve experienced calming moments even when my circumstances have not changed. I see God in the peace that settles my heart when I have every reason to worry. And I do not have to face it alone. (Philippians 4:7)
(8.) In the Strength He Gives Me
I see God in the strength that carries me through exhausting days, difficult decisions, and seasons when giving up feels easier than pressing forward.
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
Because strength does not come from having everything figured out. Sometimes faith means leaning on God for the strength to take just one more step.
(9.) I See God in the Waiting
Waiting is not always easy. I want answers and to move forward. But God’s timing may not match my plans. In seasons of waiting, I am learning patience, surrender, and trust. Although I may not understand what God is doing,I rest assured He knows best and is working on my behalf behind the scenes.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” — Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
(10.) In the Everyday Blessings

I see God in the ordinary moments of each day, not just in the extraordinary. When we look at the life of Jesus Christ, we see how He met people in their everyday lives. He talked to children, went to eat at ordinary people’s home, and attended a wedding.
God is an extraordinary God. And His presence permeates the ordinary moments of ordinary people He created for His glory.

True happiness is found only in Jesus Christ, not in external things, money, or the riches of this world, but in the inner person and in our relationship with God. Sad is many people are spiritually blind and fail to see this truth. When you speak to them about Jesus, they may contradict you, argue with you, or even call you crazy. But the truth remains the truth, even when the world rejects it. Money is temporary, life is short, but salvation and eternal life are found in Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! (John 14:6)
