Nothing Can Stop What God Ordains

Nothing…nada…zip…zero can stop what God ordains. And nothing means no-thing and no-one.
I don’t know about you, but this brings me comfort, peace, and helps me trust in God’s plan for my life and in circumstances I may walk through—without a doubt.
Why? Because God is God, nothing can happen to us unless God allows it or ordains it. You see, if it is the ordained by God, it ends with a period. That thing will happen and cannot not happen.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of this during my husband’s hospital stay in critical care. But we still pray and ask others to pray. God desires we talk with Him and come to Him with our anxieties, thoughts, laments, and requests. It’s the beautiful part of our personal relationship with Him.
Even Jesus prayed for God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
So, it’s about God’s kingdom on earth, not building our own kingdom that eventually tumbles and crumbles. And we lay down our agenda and pick up God’s will and purposes for our life.
Nothing can stop what God ordains. If He said it, it is already secured in His will. And He will bring it to pass. Share on XGod’s Will Is Not a Suggestion
What God ordains is not fragile (Hallelujah) or dependent on human approval. Instead, He established it in heaven before it manifests on earth.
God’s the One “who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” Ephesians 1:11b (NIV)
How intentional are we to seek His will and walk in His ways?
Human Resistance Cannot Stop Divine Purpose
What was meant to derail us may become the very thing that develops us or delivers us into God’s destiny for us. Joseph’s story is a wonderful example of this. “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” Genesis 50:20 (ESV)
People may delay, oppose, or misunderstand God’s divine purpose—but they cannot stop it. Even opposition often becomes part of the process God uses. Glory to the Mighty God!
This includes entire nations.
“The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.” Psalm 33:10-11 (NIV)
Do we pray for God’s divine purpose for our world and the world around us?

God Never Cancels Promises
“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” Psalm 145:13b (NIV)
A “no” or delay is often redirection, not rejection. Because God’s ordination is intentional and His promises destined to happen. Because timing is part of the process. All the details of waiting serve His purpose.
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” Job 42:2 (NIV)
Can we rest in knowing that when we wait, God is working out what He ordains?
What God Has Spoken Will Come to Pass
Since the beginning of time, what God speaks over me and you, the world at large, the enemy, and those who oppose Him, will come to pass. It’s not if, but when.
“My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.” Isaiah 46:10b (ESV)
“I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.” Isaiah 46:11 (ESV)
Do we know what the Bible says about us, the world, and the enemy? And do we seek God’s counsel?
Trust and Obey What God Ordains
We don’t have to force what God has already ordained. Our job is alignment with His will and commandments, not control. And our job is to trust God’s heart and plans for us. Also, to obey God’s Word and what He asks us to do.
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)
Are we running ahead of God to make what we want to happen, happen? Or, do we trust God’s work in our lives, even when we can’t see what He’s doing, to be for our good and His glory?
Nothing Stops What God Ordains
Nothing… not resistance, not people, not circumstances, not even our own limitations—can cancel what God ordains. If He said it, it is already secured in His will. The only question is not if it will happen, but when and how He brings it to pass.

I, for one, am so grateful that what God ordains will always come to pass, Karen. May we all seek His good and perfect will for us and align with His plans. Blessings!
