Time with Jesus Today Prepares Us for Tomorrow

Tomorrow’s challenges are unknown to us, but they are not unknown to God. So where do we get the strength to face the world’s unpredictable moments? Every moment spent with Jesus today is an investment in the faith, wisdom, and strength we”ll need tomorrow.

And Jesus is using today’s fellowship with Him to prepare us for whatever tomorrow may bring.

When my husband had a massive heart attack last November, he almost didn’t make it. Looking back over the last six months, I realize how much Jesus sustained me and my family during the six weeks in critical care. Even though my own world seemed uncdertain, Jesus continued to stay close and provide my daily spiritual bread.

Today’s Time with Jesus Is Tomorrow’s Strength

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary.” Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

Jssus often strengthens, teaches, and equips us before challenges arrive.

The strength we receive in prayer, Bible reading, and basking in the presense of Jesus each day, may be the strength we need for a diffucult tomorrow.

Daily Fellowship Builds Spiritual Stability

Consistent time with Jesus creates roots that help us stand firm when storms come.

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5 (NIV)
