The Word of the Lord Still Changes Lives

As a lover of words, I enjoy reading, writing, blogging, and speaking. Except for blogging (which wasn’t a thing), words have filled my life since I was a young girl. I entered my first oratorical contest in 4th grade and made it all the way to the state level. And a creative writing contest soon followed.
Yet, the words inspired by the Holy Spirit in God’s Word changes lives from the inside out.
The Word of the Lord is not merely information for our mind, but transformation for our whole being.
And I espeically like how Psalm 19 describes the Word of the Lord.
“The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:7-8 (NASB)
Notice the descriptions of the Word as perfect, sure, right, and pure. Now that’s a book worth reading. One that can completely overhaul our lives in the best way possible.
Also, these verses give four descriptions of God’s Word and four results for our lives.
- Law of the Lord – perfect – restoring the soul
- Testimony of the Lord – sure – making wise the simple
- Precepts of the Lord – right – rejoicing the heart
- Commandment of the Lord – pure – enlightening the eyes
1. God’s Word restores what life breaks.
The “law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul.”
God’s Word doesn’t just guide—it heals and restores inner life. It brings wholeness where sin, stress, and brokeness have fractured us.
“He restores my soul…” Psalm 23:3 (ESV)
Healing for the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1).
Rest for the weary (Matthew 11:28).
Do you need your soul restored? Your brokeness made whole?
God’s Word doesn’t just guide—it heals and restores inner life. It brings wholeness where sin, stress, and brokeness have fractured us. Share on X2. The Word of the Lord gives certainty in an uncertain world.

Nothing Can Stop What God Ordains

Nothing…nada…zip…zero can stop what God ordains. And nothing means no-thing and no-one.
I don’t know about you, but this brings me comfort, peace, and helps me trust in God’s plan for my life and in circumstances I may walk through—without a doubt.
Why? Because God is God, nothing can happen to us unless God allows it or ordains it. You see, if it is the ordained by God, it ends with a period. That thing will happen and cannot not happen.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of this during my husband’s hospital stay in critical care. But we still pray and ask others to pray. God desires we talk with Him and come to Him with our anxieties, thoughts, laments, and requests. It’s the beautiful part of our personal relationship with Him.
Even Jesus prayed for God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
So, it’s about God’s kingdom on earth, not building our own kingdom that eventually tumbles and crumbles. And we lay down our agenda and pick up God’s will and purposes for our life.
Nothing can stop what God ordains. If He said it, it is already secured in His will. And He will bring it to pass. Share on XGod’s Will Is Not a Suggestion
What God ordains is not fragile (Hallelujah) or dependent on human approval. Instead, He established it in heaven before it manifests on earth.
God’s the One “who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” Ephesians 1:11b (NIV)
How intentional are we to seek His will and walk in His ways?
Human Resistance Cannot Stop Divine Purpose
What was meant to derail us may become the very thing that develops us or delivers us into God’s destiny for us. Joseph’s story is a wonderful example of this. “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” Genesis 50:20 (ESV)
People may delay, oppose, or misunderstand God’s divine purpose—but they cannot stop it. Even opposition often becomes part of the process God uses. Glory to the Mighty God!
This includes entire nations.
“The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.” Psalm 33:10-11 (NIV)
Do we pray for God’s divine purpose for our world and the world around us?

Time with Jesus Today Prepares Us for Tomorrow

Tomorrow’s challenges are unknown to us, but they are not unknown to God. So where do we get the strength to face the world’s unpredictable moments? Every moment spent with Jesus today is an investment in the faith, wisdom, and strength we”ll need tomorrow.
And Jesus is using today’s fellowship with Him to prepare us for whatever tomorrow may bring.
When my husband had a massive heart attack last November, he almost didn’t make it. Looking back over the last six months, I realize how much Jesus sustained me and my family during the six weeks in critical care. Even though my own world seemed uncdertain, Jesus continued to stay close and provide my daily spiritual bread.
Today’s Time with Jesus Is Tomorrow’s Strength
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary.” Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)
Jssus often strengthens, teaches, and equips us before challenges arrive.
The strength we receive in prayer, Bible reading, and basking in the presense of Jesus each day, may be the strength we need for a diffucult tomorrow.
Daily Fellowship Builds Spiritual Stability
Consistent time with Jesus creates roots that help us stand firm when storms come.
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5 (NIV)

When People Say I Take Jesus Too Far

Some people say I take Jesus too far. But it’s an affirmation for a true follower of Christ. Because you can’t take Jesus too far.
Instead, it’s about living life for Jesus. It’s about our life online and offline pointing others to Jesus. And it’s about never being ashamed of Jesus Christ or our faith.
Take Jesus Too Far Versus Casual Faith
Maybe you’ve noticed how the world is comforatable with causal faith. Like to stay quiet and private about spiritual beliefs.
You see, wholehearted devotion makes people uncomfortable. So when we follow Jesus openly, others often label it as “too much.”
But Jesus never asked for half-hearted commitment to Him.
In fact, He asks for all of us—our whole heart and devotion.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37b (ESV)
Also, Jesus didn’t call people to admire Him from a distance. He called people to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. Real discipleship has always looked radical to the culture around it.

Every great move of faith looked extreme to somebody. We see this in the Old Testament with God’s people.
And in the New Testament, we see Jesus, the disciples, apostles, and others “rocking the boat” with religious leaders who wanted everyone to only think and act as them.
